Operated by 1st Alva (4th Clackmannan) Scouts. Serving Alva. After 1986 incorporated into the Clackmannan County Post. No details available re which versions of the stamps were used in 1982/3. Alloa stamps accepted as well.
Alva is part of the Hillfoots District in the Scout Area of Clackmannan.
Type 1, 25x25mm (2 square & 2 rounded corners), seen in 1982 & 1985, so presumably used in between as well.
Type 2, 18x28mm (rounded corners), seen in 1982 & 1985, so presumably used in between as well.
Type 3, 25x25mm (2 square & 2 rounded corners), seen in 1982, 1984 & 1986, so presumably used in between as well.
types 1 & 3 were handstamped two per label and then cut in half, so the square corners can be found at either the right or the left side. A charge of 8p per card was made throughout the post's life.
Type P1, possibly used at other times, date added separately.
