Operated initially by 1st Bridgend Scout Group. In 1998 the '1st' was dropped from the text and "Group" changed to "Groups". At present it is not known which of the other five groups became involved. Various papers used - illustrations of those known are included by the stamp designs.
Very few details have become available and any extra information would be welcomed - especially news regarding ongoing activity after 1999 (if any).
Bridgend is a district within the Scout County of Mid Glamorgan.
Type 1, 34x36mm approx, printed on self-adhesive labels in sheets, subsequently cut into vertical strips of 8, backing sheet imperforate. The image height varied within the sheet between 26mm and 27mm.
Type 2, 34x36mm approx, printed on self-adhesive labels in sheets, subsequently cut into vertical strips of 8, backing sheet imperforate. This appears to be a reprint of type 1 with a faint vertical line down the right-hand white border, papers illustrated seen used in 1992 & 1997, although the 1997 items may have been old stock at that time. The image height varied within the sheet between 26mm and 27mm.
Type 3, ?x?mm approx, printed on self-adhesive labels in sheets, backing sheet imperforate.

Type 4, 35x37mm approx, printed on self-adhesive labels in sheets, often badly aligned so designs crossed label edges, backing sheet imperforate.

Type 6, 33x35 approx, printed on self-adhesive labels in sheets, backing sheet imperforate.
