Operated every year from 1982 onwards by 2nd Cheadle Scouts, serving Cheadle, Checkley, Kingsley Holt, Upper Tean & Lower Tean. Joined by 3rd Cheadle Scouts from 1990. Profits divided between participating Groups & Cheadle Methodist Church. No FDCs.
2nd & 3rd Cheadle Scout Groups are part of the Moorlands District in the Scout County of Staffordshire.
Types C1 and C2, used on all mail.
Type 1, 42x30mm, designed by R. Cooksey (Group Leader) & printed in sheets of 25, line rouletted about 10.
Type 2, 42x30mm, designed by R. Porter (Organiser) & printed by George St Press Ltd (Stafford), line rouletted about 10.
Type P1 - used on all mail from 1982 until 1987 (except 1986).
Type P2 - used on all mail in 1986, 1988 & 1989.
Type P3 - used on all mail in 1990 onwards.
