Operated by Clackmannan Area Scouts (taking in the previous Alva & Alloa Posts).

Clackmannan Area includes the two Scout Districts of Alloa & Hillfoots, groups from both of which provided this postal service.

2011 announcement - Clackmannanshire Scouts will once again be delivering Christmas Post in Alva, Dollar & Muckhart, Kincardine, Menstrie, Tillicoultry & Coalsnaughton and Tullibody. Unfortunately we cannot deliver to: Alloa, Sauchie, Fishcross and Clackmannan.

After the 2020/21 closure forced by the Covid-19 pandemic not enough supporters were available to run the post in 2022 and it was closed.

1987 (December 4th)

1987 issue

Type 1, 25x37mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels. Several first day covers were produced using different postmarks on locally designed specially preprinted envelopes. A maximum card was also produced, again with a multiplicity of different postmarks.


1988

1988 issue (as 1987 but green)

Type 2, 25x37mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels.


1989

1989 issue (as 1987 but red)

Type 3, 25x37mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels.


1990

1990 issue (as 1987 but blue)

Type 4, 25x37mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels.

1991 issue

1995

1995 issue

Type 9, 37x25mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels. This is a somewhat greyer black than type 5. The sheet is partially line rouletted about 9.


2002

2002 issue

Type 10, 37x25mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels. This is very similar to types 5 & 9, but the sheet is partially perforated about 11.Several first day covers were produced using different postmarks on locally designed specially preprinted envelopes.


2003

2003 issue

Type 11, 37x25mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels. The sheet is partially line rouletted about 9.5. Several first day covers were produced using different postmarks on locally designed specially preprinted envelopes.


2004 - 2006

Type 12, 37x25mm, designed by R Fyfe (District Secretary) and printed by ? on sheets of 36 self-adhesive labels. Several first day covers were produced using different postmarks on locally designed specially preprinted envelopes.


2007

The use of cancellations has been widely discontinued in recent years, with only the Alva frank type P9 appearing.
