Letter boxes ready for your Christmas post LARGE purple letter boxes, purple being the colour of the Scout logo, were delivered to Crediton shops last weekend, ready to receive letters for delivery by the Scouts throughout Crediton. The letter boxes are at A E Lee gent's outfitters, Crediton Tourist Information Centre in the old Town Hall, Daily News on East Street and Lewis' on Hawkins Way, Lords Meadow Industrial Estate. Each shop is selling the special Scouts postage stamps at 15p each and the Scouts will be clearing each letter box twice before Christmas, the last being on December 20. As well as delivering within the town itself, the Scouts will deliver mail to Lords Meadow and properties at Fordton. |

| THE First Crediton Scouts will be operating their Christmas Postal Service again this year but as last year, will not include Sandford or other areas outside the town. The Scout Post Boxes will be located in the following venues: Landscore Stores, Crediton Courier office, Bradleys estate agents, Gee’s TV and Radio, Crediton and District Community Transport, Mole Avon Town and Country Stores, Lewis’s (Lords Meadow) and Clifford Gardens Community Housing. The boxes will be at the venues from Monday, November 12 and the last posting date will be on Friday, December 14. All the post will be delivered after that date. Stamps, which cost 20p, are available at the shops or outlets where the Scout Post Boxes are located. The cards are delivered by the Scouts or Scout Leaders and profits go to the First Crediton Scout funds. |
