It would appear that the Scouts offerred assistance to those who could not get to the Post Office for themselves, but did not actually do any deliveries themselves.
No markings were applied to cards in this, the first year of the post's operation.
Type C1.
A cancellation was applied but, at this time the design is not available.
Type 1, designed by ?, printed by ? on rolls of self-adhesive labels.
A souvenir cover was produced to commemmorate the Scouting Centnary..
The following cancellations (P1 - P5) are applied to the top right of cards to indicate who collected it & to the top left to indicate who delivered it.
Type P1 - Barwell cancel.
Type P2 - Burbage cancel.
Type P3 - Earl Shilton cancel.
Types P4a and P4b - Hinckley cancel.
Type P5 - Stoke Golding & other villages cancel.
One of the following cancellations (P6a/b & P7) is applied to the centre top of each card.
Types P6a and P6b - Earl Shilton cancel.
Type P7 - Hinckley cancel.
The following cancellations (C8) was applied to the special souvenir covers for the Scouting Centenary in 2007.
Type P8 - Centenary cancel.
