Operated by Hawick Venture Scouts (membership in 1990 of only 15!). Serving Hawick and about a 3 mile radius around the town.
Hawick are part of the Roxburgh District within the Scout Area of Borders.
Type C1. First day covers were produced on locally designed envelopes. About £1,320 distributed to a variety of local charities & £124 to VSU funds
Types 1 & 2, 50x35mm & 35x50mm respectively, designed by ?, printed by ? in sheets of ? (? rows of ?) self-adhesive labels. Souvenir covers bearing both stamps produced on locally designed envelopes (1990 envelopes with small extra handstamp "2ND YEAR").
Type 3, 50x35mm, designed by ?, printed by ? in sheets of ? (? rows of ?) self-adhesive labels. First day covers were produced on locally designed envelopes (1990 envelopes with small extra handstamp "3RD YEAR").
