Organised by 4th Kendal Scouts. Serving Kendal only. Stamps sold door to door and through shops for about 5 weeks before Christmas. Collection points open until about 20th December. No datestamps used. No FDCs. Area divided into 14 (later 16, even later back to 14) delivery areas and users of the Post were asked to write the delivery area at the top-left of the envelopes.

4th Kendal Scouts are part of the Kentdale District in the Scout County of Cumbria.

Operated from 1987 to 2014 after which falling numbers of helpers made it unviable.

1987

Type 1, 28x32mm (sheet margins giving wider borders on one or two sides), designed by D. Winder & printed by K Shoes printing department, Kendal, in imperforate sheets of 12 (4 rows of 3). Appears hand-drawn as all twelve stamps differ slightly, either in the width of the lines in 4K or the holly leaves or trees in the background. Sold at Ł1 per sheet.

1990
