Nottage
Mid Glamorgan, Wales

Operated by 1st Nottage Scouts, up to 1990 by the Ventures, later by the whole group. The postal service in this area was originally operated by Porthcawl Scouts in1984, joined by Nottage Venture Scouts in 1986/7, Nottage first issuing their own stamp in 1987then continuing alone from 1988 onwards. Postal exchanges are believed to have been made with Cornelly, Kenfig Hill and Merthyr Tydfil (Dowlais) Scouts and examples on one area's stamp issues with another area's cancellation can be found.

1st Nottage is a group in the Bridgend District in the Scout Area of Mid Glamorgan.

1987 (December 7th)

Type 1, 38x63mm, designed by ? and printed by ? on sheets of self-adhesive labels. First day covers were produced on plain envelopes.

Types 20 to 24, 21x38mm, designed by ? and ink-jet printed locally in se tenant strips on A4 sheets of Avery self-adhesive labels. The faint background lettering spells "milennium" across the strip of five stamps.

2001 (December 1st)

Types 25 to 28, 21x38mm, designed by ? and ink-jet printed locally on A4 sheets of Avery self-adhesive labels. Type 26 appeared once per sheet (exact position unknown), types 27 and 28 are possible caused by ink shortages in the printer. First day covers were produced on plain envelopes.

2002 (December 2nd)

Types 29 to 30, 21x38mm, designed by ? and ink-jet printed locally on A4 (Avery j8651) sheets of self-adhesive labels. First day covers were produced on plain envelopes.
