Rugby
Warwickshire, England

Operated by Rugby District Scouts with Oxfam.

The 1994 stamp celebrates 10 years 1985-1994, this was believed to be the anniversary of the whole District's involvement. However, one Group - Long Lawford - started on their own in 1985, expanding the service in subsequent two years. 1988 saw the first stamps designated Rugby Scout Post without a reference to Long Lawford as well.

Rugby District Scouts are part of the Scout County of Warwickshire.

Types 2 to 5, 35x37mm, designed by ? & printed by ? in sheets of ? (? rows of ?) on imperforate gummed paper. A souvenir card was produced with all four stamps.

From 1989 to 2006 all Rugby stamps are produced by photocopying onto A4 sheets of 24 self-adhesive coloured labels (when viewed in portrait format, 8 rows of three) and two stamps are printed on each label. As the stamps are often printed in landscape format this can give vertical pairs of stamps on each label, but the sheets are then guillotined into horizontal strips of 8 stamps so the customer only sees individual labels ready for use. From now on new designs are produced each year.
