Christmas Post
This year the organization of the Christmas Post falls to the Group as the Venture Unit, who have run the service for many years, no longer exists due to the changes in the Sections.  The service is a good fundraiser for the Group and we hope to continue operating it in future years.  This however depends on the level of assistance that we receive from members and parents.  The service is operated jointly with 2nd Gourock Boys Brigade allowing us to offer coverage of the West End of Greenock and all of Gourock.  Our group delivers all mail in the West End of Greenock Area.
The service is being offered through selected shops and churches from 7th to 21st December but to minimise effort we have decided to sort and deliver all the mail in on operation. We shall need as many helpers as can possibly manage - please try to set aside one of the delivery times to suit you - we shall have sheets availble at the Coffee Morning on Saturday for parents and boys to sign up for assisting.  The more that can help the less we all need to do!
It is particularly important that we have as many adult helpers as possible as no Cub Scout or Scouts will be undertaking deliveries without being supervised by an adult.  Also Cub Scouts may only take part in daylight delivering so the Sunday evening is restricted to PLs/APLs and Explorer Scouts plus any adults who are available.
We look forward to your support in this venture - any questions please get in touch.
