Operated by Wreake Valley Venture Scout Unit (10th Leicester). From the official closure of the VSU the 10th Leicester continued the service. The souvenir covers referred to below are plain white envelopes bearing a single stamp, the appropriate year's coloured handstamp and a single-line (usually black) datestamp. These were often described as first day covers but the dates are usually after the "first delivery dates" quoted in the leaflets and certainly well after the "first collection dates".
The 10th Leicester (Syston) Scout Group is part of the Charnwood district within the Scout County of Leicestershire.
Type 1, 25x25mm, designed by a Venture Scout, printed locally on self-adhesive labels. First day covers were produced on plain white envelopes. A charge of 5p per card was made. Collection dates 7th-22nd, delivery dates 8th-23rd December.

(It should be noted that these are the top half of sheets which were printed in conjunction with the 2006 issue on the lower half). Souvenir covers were produced on plain white envelopes.
