Operated by Thamesdown North, Thamesdown South & Northh Wiltshire Scout Districts, serving the Borough of Thamesdown.
These Districts are now renamed Swindon North and Swindon Ridgeway within the Scout County of Wiltshire. The post operated under the name "Swindon" from 1997 onwards.
Types 1 to 3, approx 40x28mm (marginal stamp sizes may vary), designed by the Group leader's son & lithographed locally in sheets of ? (? rows of ?). The three colours indicated Thamesdown North (blue - 4925), Thamesdown South (green - 4350) and North Wiltshire (white - 5200). First day covers bearing all three stamps produced on locally designed envelopes. - serially numbered and signed on the back by the three District Commissioners. A separate first day cover was also issued with only the blue Thamesdown North stamp & appropriate signaturs on the back.
