Type 1, designed by R. Boulden (organiser). Printed by Glamorgan Press, Neath in sheets of 36 38x26mm self-adhesive labels (6 x 6).
Type 2, designed by R. Boulden (organiser). Printed by Glamorgan Press, Neath in sheets of 36 38x26mm self-adhesive labels (6 x 6).
Type 3, designed by R. Boulden (organiser). Printed by Glamorgan Press, Neath in sheets of 36 38x26mm self-adhesive labels (6 x 6). All the complete sheets I have seen have a trial "sewing machine" style perforation between the top two rows and the bottom two rows but I do not know whether any were ever fully perforated and issued.
Type 4, designed and printed by Hunt (Printers),
Cardiff, based upon previous Cardiff (South Glamorgan) issue.
Type 5, design as previous year but printed by Smalldon (Printers), Swansea.
Type 6, designed and printed by Geoffs Print Shop, Swansea in sheets of 50(10 rows of 5). Sponsored by the The Wave radio station.
Type 7, designed and printed by Geoffs Print Shop, Swansea in sheets of ? (? rows of ?). Sponsored by the The Wave radio station. Background pale yellow, border deep yellow. The shade distinctions between this and the next two issues are very dificult to illustrate here. As well as the yellow border shade difference the fleur-de-lys within the red circle in types 7/8 also exhibits the same matt/shiny difference that could be seen in the Machin heads on British definitives of around 1979/81, in 7 it is matt, in 8 shiny.
Type 8, designed and printed by Geoffs Print Shop, Swansea in sheets of ? (? rows of ?). Sponsored by the The Wave radio station. Background pale yellow, border yellow.
Type 9, designed and printed by Geoffs Print Shop, Swansea in sheets of ? (? rows of ?). Sponsored by the The Wave radio station. Background white, border yellow.
Type 10, designed and printed by ? in sheets of ? (? rows of ?). Sponsored by the The Wave radio station.
Type 11, designed by ? and printed by Geoff's Print Shop in sheets of ? (? rows of ?).
Type 12, designed by ? and printed by ? in sheets of 50 (10 rows of 5) line rouletted about 9, all sheet edges imperforate giving 8 "imperf edge" perforation varieties.
Type 13, designed by ? and printed by ? in sheets of 50 (10 rows of 5) line rouletted about 9, all sheet edges imperforate giving 8 "imperf edge" perforation varieties.
Type 14, designed by ? and printed by ? in sheets of ? (? rows of ?) self-adhesive labels on a backing sheet line rouletted about 3.
In 1987 the West Glamorgan Area comprised the following Districts, each of which has been allocated a separate page to speed up download times. The tables provided list all those Scout Units believed to have participated in the West Glamorgan Post. Where "existence uncertain" is shown I have, as yet, been unable to acquire a sample of their cancellation (if any actually existed). The dates refer to the earliest use of which I am aware - they may have been in use earlier. They are organised by the Districts in force at the time the Post first started. The quality of the following images leaves a lot to be desired. I am always looking for better copies but it can be difficult to disentangle the cancellation from the stamp beneath.
