From 1982 participated in the East Essex Consortium. Directly serving the area within 1 mile of Shenfield railway station, indirectly serving the East Essex District via the transfer of cards to other Scout Groups.
1st Shenfield Scouts are part of the East Essex District within the Scout County of Essex.
Type C1. (text - DELIVERED BY / 1st SHENFIELD SCOUTS / 1981)
Types 1 and 2, 30x60mm and 30x30mm respectively, designed by M. Southall and printed by Bonham and Moore, Chelmsford, in sheets of ? (? rows of ?), line rouletted about 5. First day covers bearing both stamps were produced on specially printed cards. Some covers had just the postmark applied as a cachet as the stamps were delivered late.
